We are not only in a crisis, we are also in a transition phase. This creates the unique conditions to think and move more freely to create rapid change. It provides the best opportunity for teams to do their most innovative work.
(Larry Clark, Harvard Business)

We need the projects of tommorow
The COVID Pandemic is a magnifying glass of the trouble we are already in for a long time. We do not need the projects of yesterday. We need the projects of tomorrow. We need sustainable resilience projects. And those are only possible when we use an integrated, inclusive and sustainable approach. Not only trusting in technical innovation, but creating a systemic approach that connects all forms of innovation, both technical and social.
The water sector is not just looking for someone with experience. You also need the skills to come up with different approaches to any one problem. With a future of constant change, resilience and agility become precious skills .
Learn to take a cross-disciplinary approache to projects. To communicate in in an environment that requires participation in many modes of communication. To make real connections and set up collaborations.
You already have it in you! We will teach you in a short amount of time how to better recognize your own potential.
To reach this all, we created a fun and powerful summer programme especially for water professionals.
- Which provides you with a personal development programme to become even more ready for the future and take the lead. This means that afterwards you know how you deal and can act in times of uncertainty.
- A great network of likeminded professionals with a passion to create a water smart society. This creates an added value for future projects.
- You are not only learning in theory, but also learn to put in practice and solve a real complex challenge of the water sector. Creating direct added value and new knowledge.
- Empower yourself and your organization to take a leading position and become a valuable colleague and have more fun at work.
Meet our Summer Programme of 2020:
Dealing with cruel reality: from reality to practice in the Water Sector.
In which a team works on a complex challenge from within the water sector. In which you are coached in Team Coaching, Learning and experiencing InterVision methods. Creates a mirror to your work habits. And learning out of the box, new routes of using your knowledge and experiences in unexpected situations. With a real result ready for use at the end.
The summer programme includes two online group trainings.
- Dealing with a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world
- Leadership in complex systems
Stimulating a proactive attitude in life and work, balanced in care for one’s own and others interests and perspectives. Life is what happens to you while making other plans, but having a goal also gives purpose and meaning. Consciousness about the ability and disability to plan ones future and how to deal with that is the main goal of the training sessions. To support the ability to interpret a situation at its level of complexity and knowing a few basic rules of thumb in how to deal with it.
Within the time of the programme you will work with your team within two online workshops:
Workshop Intercultural awareness
Workshop Stakeholder management in complex systems
Since we are often working in multi cultural and multi-disciplined teams, communication is essential in this time. Two elements of this are taking along in the workshops to further develop. Awareness of cultural differences and ways to deal with not knowing expectations. Having a clear perspective on the strengths and weaknesses of stakeholders involved, and creating a plan to create a common goal in a complex system.
Within the complete programme you will be 10 days in which you receive:
- 6 half a day sessions (Partly in working hours/ partly in the evening)
- And you will agree on working for 7 days to execute and find a solution for the complex challenge.
Period: 13 July – 11 September 2020
