From November 25-29, Tunisia became the meeting point for our water professionals participating in the joint program of EJWP5 and EJWP6. Hosted by ENIG and Opalia, this week provided a unique combination of professional training, technical exploration, and cultural experiences.
The week began with an energizing leadership training session led by Jennifer Cronick. Participants explored leadership basics, focusing on building self-awareness and effective management strategies. The second day introduced participants to an innovative masterclass on PFAS remediation and Blockchain traceability, followed by a technical visit to Opalia, where they witnessed advanced water technologies in action.
Midweek, the focus shifted to the iMERMAID Consortium Meeting, featuring sessions on project management, communication strategies, and dissemination techniques. In the evening, participants explored the rich history of Tunisia during a guided tour through the Medina of Tunis.
The week concluded with workshops on resilience and agility, helping participants develop the personal and professional tools needed to adapt and thrive in challenging environments. They also applied these skills in real-world project planning sessions with ENIG and Opalia.
A special thank you to ENIG and Opalia for hosting and to all participants for their dedication and enthusiasm. Together, we’re shaping the future of water – one step at a time.
